Who we are
This website (softprison.be) is operated by Guillaume Van Moerkercke in connection with the Soft Prison art happening (29–31 May 2026, Aalststraat 3, 9700 Oudenaarde, Belgium). Guillaume Van Moerkercke acts as the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data we collect
Contact form
When you use the contact form on this website, we collect your name, email address, and the message you submit. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Form submissions are processed via a server hosted on Google Cloud Run in the EU (europe-west1 region) and are not shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes.
We retain contact form data only as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and for a reasonable period thereafter. You may request deletion at any time.
Analytics (GoatCounter)
This website uses GoatCounter for website analytics. GoatCounter is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track you across websites or sessions.
GoatCounter collects the following non-personal data for each page view:
- URL of the page visited
- Referrer (the page you came from, if any)
- Browser and operating system (from the User-Agent header)
- Screen size
- Country of origin (derived from the IP address; the IP itself is not stored)
No personal data is stored by GoatCounter. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can review GoatCounter's own privacy policy at goatcounter.com/help/privacy.
Third-party services
This website uses the following third-party services that may process data when you visit:

This website does not use cookies. The analytics service (GoatCounter) is specifically chosen because it operates without cookies or any persistent tracking identifiers.
